Somdev Wins Second Futures Tournament

I guess when its summertime and we don’t have much to talk about in the way of our current student-athletes, we get to talk a bit about some of our former student athletes.
In this case, former Cavalier standout Somdev Devvarman won his second consecutive Futures tournament since graduating. Just last weekend Somdev won the Buffalo Bill Futures Tournament in Rochester, NY. Now he’s won the Men’s Futures of Pittsburgh tournament as well.
The two-time NCAA singles champion is a perfect 10-0 since graduating. He’s been playing so well that he hasn’t even dropped a single set yet.
To add some icing to the cake, Devvarman teamed up with former collegiate doubles partner Treat Huey to win the doubles championships at both events as well.
It seems he’s well on his way to stardom, doesn’t it?
