For the second year in a row, Virginia defender Nikki Krzysik ends this season as an All-American. She becomes only the third player in school history to be named to the All-American first-team. Andrea Rubio (1991, 1992) and Becky Sauerbrunn (2003, 2007) were the other two.

Recently, she was named one of the 15 semifinalists for the 2008 Hermann Trophy, given to the top collegiate soccer player in the country. That award will be presented on January 9th. She was also named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year and first team All-ACC.
