With an 18-6 waxing of Virginia Tech, the Virginia women’s lacrosse team, seeded 3rd, moves on to the semifinals of the ACC Women’s Lacrosse Championships. They will face #2 seed Maryland at 5pm Friday in College Park where the championship is being held. Virginia and Maryland met earlier in the season, also at College Park, where the Terrapins handed the Cavaliers their only ACC loss of the season.
North Carolina, seeded first in the championship, faces off against 4th seeded Duke, who also pummeled their first-round opponent, Boston College, by a score of 17-6.
