The men’s soccer team and the football team continued their recent winning streaks, defeating Clemson and East Carolina respectively. Unfortunately the other teams didn’t fare as well. Women’s soccer lost a bitter game to Virginia Tech while volleyball split with UNC/NCSU and Field Hockey dropped a pair of games to two top 15 teams up at Penn State.

Thursday, October 9th

  • Women’s Soccer: #10 Virginia lost 1-0 to Virginia Tech in a game it dominated.

Friday, October 10th

  • Volleyball: Virginia defeated North Carolina 3-2.
  • Men’s Soccer: #18 Virginia defeated Clemson 1-0.

Saturday, October 11th

  • Field Hockey: #10 Virginia lost to #5 Iowa 3-2 at Penn State.
  • Volleyball: Virginia lost to N.C. State 1-3.
  • Football: Virginia defeated East Carolina 35-20.

Sunday, October 12th

  • Field Hockey: #10 Virginia lost to #14 Penn State 0-1.
